Reservations open 60 days before your visit, and they go FAST. I booked ours right at midnight on the day our window opened, and I highly recommend setting an alarm.
Important notes:
- A valid park ticket is required to access the Magic Kingdom location.
- You can book through the My Disney Experience app or online.
- Time of day matters! We chose the 8:00 a.m. slot, which meant we were allowed into Magic Kingdom before the park opened. The boutique was nearly empty, not backed up. Afterward, we walked right over to meet the princesses at Fairy Tale Hall—no line!
Starting early also gave my kids the full day to enjoy their makeover looks (and trust me, they loved the attention from cast members and characters).

We had four kids participate—our three youngest girls and our son. When we arrived, they asked each child if they wanted to be a Princess or Queen, or a Knight or Dragon Slayer (adorable touch, by the way).

We chose the knight costume for our son’s birthday, and it came with a full outfit, shield, and sword. He got his hair styled with pixie dust and held court with his sisters like it was no big deal. Honestly? He loved it—and so did we.
